JAPANESE ANIMATION

Image
I like japanese animation, I used to watch this kind of progams with my friends and cousins at home. We used to play all day and then we stopped at 5pm to go to the living room and watched series we liked as Ranma 1/2, Sailor moon, Los caballeros del Zodiaco, Dragon Ball, etc..these television series were part of our lives when we were children. I think one of my favorite ones was Dragon Ball, maybe this is more like a "boys serie" but I really like the story, wich has a lot of fantasy, and the characters, it was all very funny. Another serial I liked was Sailor moon because this was anime for girls, you always choose a character you liked the most and talked about it later with friends, I liked the songs and I used to remember the lyrics. Anyway I like all kind of animation, walt disney animation or japanese animation, but after watching this series when I was a child I kept watching other series when I grew up, there is a thousand of series you can choose from, of any kind...

MY IDEAL JOB

I think my ideal job should be related to something about my carrer, specially museums or cultural institutions. In this area finding a job  in other cities  is something hard, because you have to stay in Santiago, but I would love to find a job in some region or near the beach. Anyway, I could keep studying for ever and have my own bussiness in another area, for example a bar at the beach, I think that would probably be my ideal job, having my own bussiness, doing what I want, being my own boss, living in some place I really like, being quite and happy with a project for a living. I'd like to do a master in arts and develop a bussiness like a bar or restaurant, something small and nice. I think this isnt so difficult to achieve, I think you have to know what you want in life, and if you really want it everything is going to be fine, you have to persist and be positive.

A COUNTRY I'D LIKE TO VISIT

I'd really like to travel abroad, I have visited just some places in Chile, north and south, and I'd really like to know other countries, I can think of in a lot of countries I'd like to visit, but if I could choose I'd probably travel to south american countries first. I think one of my favorite countries would be Brazil, first of all because I think this country has incredible landscapes and places to visit such as the Amazon rainforest, Rio de Janeiro, beaches and islands...I can imagine myself on  a tropical beach , drinking some caipirinha and just relaxing. I have a friend who travelled to Brazil and decided to stay and live there, this friend told me that brazilian people are really cheerful and very friendly, they have a tropical climate, a great biodiversity, a lot of beautiful places to visit, and a great night life. If I traveled to Brazil I'd like to go to the beach and do ecotourism and adventure travel...but I'd also like to do some  historic ...

Blogging Experience

Image
Hi everyone, finally we´re ending this english course and I'd loke to say that the idea of having a blog is very useful because of several reasons. First of all I think is very good for us to write in english, try to put together sentences that make sense and practice grammar. On the other hand is interesting knowing each other interests and can make comments about it, allows the exchange of ideas and things like music or movies.Besides, other advantage of blogging in english class is that you can learn about your partners redaction, when its right and when is not, so you can correct your own writting. I think writting is a great way of learning and practicing how to create and order words in order to comunicate ideas using the right words and concepts. If I could give some suggestion to improve the experience I think that is maybe  adding some audiovisual resources  so then we can talk about it; we actually write about  ¨A Darwinian Theory of Beauty", but talking a...

A Darwinian Theory of Beauty?

This Denis Duton video is really interesting, I think he has a very unique theory I never listen before, especially because has a lot of sense. Duton talk about beauty, and… what’s beauty? We cannot totally define beauty, even if you are a theorist or an art critic. The aesthetics taste we always think it was subjective, or culturally conditioned, but Duton has a different theory based on darwinian evolution. The question is: how to explain the universality of the experience of beauty? If I think about it has sense because we know Chilean people who likes japanese music or japanese people who likes African art. That means the experience of art is not determined by the culture, beauty is part of the psycology, is one of the darwinian adaptions in perception, our ancestors finds beauty in the same things we aesthetically enjoy today, but we expand that experience through the development of art and entertainment. Finally, humans find beauty in something done well, since always, so this t...

Marcel Duchamp

I think is really difficult to think in one favorite artist, I can think in several artists, styles and pieces of art. Whatever, I can think in one of them, who I think is a great one: Marcel Duchamp. He´s a XX century artist, known as the father of conceptual art. He also change the idea of who is the artist, he said that being an artist was an exercise of the will, not a talent or a result of special preparation. Duchamp breaks with tradition by introducing everyday objects as pieces of art, opening precisely the question “What is art?” He use this objects and put it in the art context (museums, galleries) his most famous work is “The fountain” shows a simple object signed by an artist, so, is that art? What matter for him was make you think about it. After each work there is a question, a concept, an idea, and that was the central issue. He worked in other styles, cubism, Dadaism, surrealism, but the conceptual art was the work of his life, he developed this style as a personal pro...

Hello everyone: Today I will tell you about one of my favorite movies, this is Vanilla Sky. The film lasts about two hours, which can recognize ( the ) different faces of a scientific process , emotional and even love process in all the film along the film . Technically, the film focuses on various flashback / flashforward, giving emotion and empathy   to the viewer from the  an emotional perspective and also, why cant I said not , chromatically. The sky is pale cream as a promise d or a Monet sunset sky monet ,  painting   table cited in the film at the time when the protagonist is known meets to Sofia, the love of his life- is so romantic! -. About a singer

Image
I like a lot of music, singers and bands. I really dont know what is my favourite, but now Im going to talk about Bjork, who is one of my favourites female musicians. This is an icelandic singer songwriter, her music can be defined as a mix of rock, pop, folk, electronic and even classical music. She's also an actress in the movie Dancing in the Dark , a musical movie that have very good songs. Her first solo album was called Debut and release in 1993, one single of this album that I like is Venus as a Boy.  What I like about Bjork is that she has a very particular style, very unique, I like her voice and her music videos.
